OBIT: Jimmy Ray Bolen. Mr. Bolen, 88, of Alexandria passed away Tuesday, February 11, 2014 at Lexington House. Services for Mr. Jimmy Ray Bolen held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, February 16, 2014 in the Chapel of Hixson Brothers, Alexandria with Reverend David Shaw officiating. Burial in Alexandria Memorial Gardens. The family requests that visitation be observed Saturday at Hixson Brothers, Alexandria from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and will continue on Sunday from 12:00 p.m. until time of service. He was a member of Parkview Baptist Church, a member of the Solomon Lodge #221 F & AM. Mr. Bolen served his country in the Air Force and retired after 22 years of service. After retirement from the Air Force he served as the Assistant Fire Chief at England Air Force Base. He was preceded in death by his wife, Winona Jean Bolen; Parents, Edward S and Mary E. Phillips Bolen; Brothers, Lonnie Bolen, John Bolen, William "Frank" Bolen, and Houston Bolen; Sisters, Beaulah Bell Mayo and Dorothy Durell Miller. Those left to cherish his memory include his son, Aubrey R. Bolen, Sr. and wife, Rhonda; daughters, Jann Clark, Nancy Burnaman and husband, Danny; grandchildren, Andy Bourke, Emily Clark, Aubrey Bolen, Jr., Remy Burnaman; great grandchildren, Chloe Bolen, Rylan Bourke and Ethan Bourke; numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.Pallbearers will be Aubrey Bolen, Jr., Cory Lemoine, Brian Lemoine, Andy Bourke, Billy Slaughter and James Edmond.
