OBIT: Virgil J. Bolen, 63, of Hillsville, Virginia, died Tuesday, Nov. 11, 2014, at the Woltz Hospice Home. He was born in Carroll County to the late Garfield and Imo Carpenter Bolen. Survivors include his children and spouses, Merinda Stephenson, Jeff and Amanda Bolen, Keith and Erin Bolen and Kevin and Shirley Bolen, all of Ohio; Siblings and spouses, Beverly and Mike Clontz, E.G. and Linda Bolen, Curtis Bolen, and the Rev. Ray Bolen and Irene Bolen, all of Hillsville, VA; Sister-in-law, Christine Bolen of Hillsville, VA; 12 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and several great-nieces and nephews. A funeral services held on Saturday, Nov.15, 2014, at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Funeral Home Chapel at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Ernest Smith, Pastor Jeff Pickett and Pastor Rudy L. Robinson officiating. Burial in the Farmer Cemetery.
