Howell W. Boggs was born aug. 13, 1905 at Liberty , Pickens County South Carolina. His father was Oscar Faye Boggs born Aug. 7, 1874 at Liberty, S. C. Oscar was the son of John Thomas Boggs born nov.11, 1851, at Liberyt S. C. John Thomas was the son of Joseph Addison Boggs born feb 11, 1825, at Liberty. Joseph was the son of Thomas Gilliland Boggs born feb. 15, 1795 at York district, S. C. He was the son of Joseph Boggs, born 1752. Joseph was a farmer and raised his family in York Dist. S. C.
