L. W. Boggs went to CA, in 1846, with the Boggs & Aram Parties. They were a part of the group that the Ill Fated Donner Party accompanied. The Boggs-Aram party did not use the so called "short cut" thus avoided becoming lunch for the Donner Group. See page 85 & 116 of "Men to Match My Mountains", Edited by Lewis Gannett, A History by Irving Stone, 1956 Double Day & Co. Also, for more data on the LWB family (son Thomas Oliver Boggs) see page 130-139 Boggs Family History QuarterlyVol. II, No. 4, Winter 1997, Robert J. Boggs, Ed. at Orange Park, FL. Would like to hear from others that are doing research on this family line. Reply to <[email protected]>, John Andrew Boggs, Milaca, MN.
