I have found a good site that explains the Melungeon People and might help those who do not understand what they were. The site address is : http://www.bright.net/~kat/melung.htm. I have had several relatives who have been able to get special scholarships by using photos of some of Hugh Boggs's Family, (Elizabeth who married Allen Harper) saying that they were of Indian Heritage. I have always been told that the Boggs were "Black Dutch" and that there were Indian Heritage in the family.
