I was born a Boggs in Mattoon, Il. My great grandfather John, was married in Ohio and my Grandfather Henry was born in Ohio , Sciota Co., in 1857.His siblings Amos, Elizabeth and John, Jr. were born in Ohio and they moved to Il. through Ind., between 1869 and 1876. Hosea was born in Il. in 1876. >From a second marraige he had Charles and James (jesse). I doubt that there is a connection but I don't know if John Boggs had any brothers or sisters. He claims his father was James, mother unknown.
