Edward, We definitely have stories of black Dutch which I thought was simply dark skinned Dutch as we are all black eyed and many of us are black haired with an occasional blue eyed blonde.After researching through my allied families,York,Baker,Fields,Wells,Campbells ,I found that we were not dutch at all.Further research incicates that we are possibly of mixed ancestry.Just haven't found the exact individual or individuals that contributed darker genetics. I am the gggrandaughter of Rebecca Boggs who marreied John L.York.Rebeccas father was Levi York son of Eli York.In KY they were close friends with the Goins and some of them married.The Goins were definitely Melungeon.
