Re: Pennington Gap Pennington Gap is in Lee County, VA in far Southwest Virginia, right down in the tip end of the VA's triangle. It is on Daniel Boone's trail to Kentucky thru Cumberland Gap. In fact, it is about 30 east of Cumberland Gap. As far as it being a secluded area, I suppose it is. It is on VA Route 58, and you really don't go thru Pennington Gap to go much of anywhere.
