We have Boggs ancestors in Allegheny Co., PA. James Boggs went west to the area from eastern PA in the 1760s. He was reputed to be the first white man to own land west of the Allegheny River. He was born in PA, however, the son of Andrew and Ann Patton Boggs. There seem to have been lots of Boggs in western PA early on, and many went west from there. Don't know if your David and William are related to our line.
