I looked at the Laurel Co., KY archives and there are quite a few BOGGS messages listed. I would do a search at http://searches.rootsweb.com/cgi-bin/listsearch.pl (type in KYLAUREL) for BOGGS and see if you can find some leads on Marion. I do know that there were John BOGGS and James BOGGS families in the 1890's. They have been mentioned the the "Excerpts from the Mt. Echo" messages that we get once a day. The Mountain Echo was the Laurel Co., KY newspaper.
