    3. I would like to receive any information about this John O. Boggs. I think he is the John Oliver Boggs, son of Samuel O. Boggs and Mary "Polly" Kent. John Oliver Boggs was born in GA in 1796. His parents migrated to Madison Co., AL when he was 12 or 13 years old. On 15 Nov 1813 he volunteered and served as private in the Company commanded by Capt. William Evans acting guard to the frontiers of Madison Co., AL, Mississippi Territory in the War of 1812. He served in the Creek War in 1814. John Oliver Boggs married Mehala Ripley on 30 Mar 1820 in Franklin Co., TN. John Oliver Boggs died 20 Sept 1878 of cancer, near Petersburg, Lincoln Co., TN.
