Dear List: I am trying to further my Boggs line and need your help. Esther Boggs m. Robert B. Fillingim in 1820. Robt was born in Craven Co., NC; family moved to Cedartown, Escambia Co., FL and raised their family. I do not know too much about the Boggs of this area. And can say she wasn't from perhaps SC or VA. Possibly Melungeon? Don't know. Some descendants of the Fillingims filed for Cherokee membership but were rejected, stating "Creek Case." So she could have been Creek indian? Any suggestions would be helpful. If you have Boggs that go back that far in these areas, please let me know. Thanks Leah
