I am in the process of cleaning out files this morning. In doing so I found that the Beechy Creek cemetery in Greenup Co. Ky had been cataloged by Mary Mullins Tuttle sometime in the past. I have had this for a long time. I noticed recent mail about Tyree Boggs both young and old. Tyree Boggs, b 10-10-1864, d 2-22-1944 is listed in this cemetery along with 18 other Boggs surnames. If anyone would like this list before I dispose of it let me know. Please send email to my email address. Dave Church dlchurch@bright.net

Are you talking about James L. Boggs, Jr born about 1795? Rozella
Hi Roger Thank you so much, I know the case was there but was never able to find it. Do you know if the information on this case is at archieves or still at the Carter Co. Court House in Grayson. I live only twenty minutes from Grayson and have worked at the Court House there alot. Which Boggs line do you descend of ? Hi Boggs researchers, I would like to clear up some misinformation that I have seen on some sites about Milton Kennedy husband of Ellen Boggs. He did not have a 2nd marriage to Rebecca Boggs Fields. He was killed in 1862 by Rebels. Willam Jason Fields died at a later date in a Union prison. From info in court records they both married to their orginal mates. Thank You. Roger Kennedy
Hi Anita, I don't come through that branch but in the Carter County Court Records , File 779, box #4, filed 13 may 1846, James Boggs Jr. vs Arritta Boggs it states that in the year 1831 he intermarried with Arritta Sergent now Arritta Boggs. They are togehter in the 1850 C.C. census family 165. Happy hunting, Roger Kennedy
do you want copys of them all
ill need your adress please thanks michelle
I am also a descendant of James Pamer Boggs through his son James Boggs Jr. who married Sarah "Sally" Barker. For years I have been trying to find James Pamer's 1st wife Aretta's maiden name. I have been told she could be a Cox or even a Tyree but I have never found proof to prove either of them, maybe some of you who come down James Pamer's line have heard families stories or such. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I also was wondering if anyone knows where James Pamer Boggs is buried. Hi: Been going over your information. Here is what I have: My grandmother was Cora Margaret Boggs, daughter of Charles Boggs. Father of Charles was Tyree T. "Bryce" Boggs, born 9-28-1833, Lee, VA. Wife was Catherine Lowe. Father of Tyree was James Pamer Boggs, born 2-28-1810, Lee, Va. His father was Hugh Boggs, 4-7-1781, Wilkes, NC. HIs father was James L. Boggs, 1752 Surry, NC I have Census 1850 Carter County, KY showing James Boggs, 51 and wife Aretta 50. Tyree Boggs, 26, wife Catherine 25, son, James 6 and son Charles 4. Also shows next house James Boggs 19 and Sarah wife, 19 and son John 1. Tyree born in 1864 could not be the son of James Pamer Boggs (most likely anyway) Tyree was on the Twenty Second Regiment KY Volunteer Infanty as a Private Co. I, died in the Civil Wwar. James Pamer Boggs, born 1810, Lee, Va. died Oct. 1906 in Ky and is buried in Tick Ridge Cemeter, Olive Hill, Carter, Ky. as far as I have found. HIs first wife was Aretta Cox and children were: John Boggs, Tyree T. "Bryce" Boggs, Elijah S. Boggs, Hugh Boggs, James Boggs and Elizabeh Boggs. Seconw wife was Fannie F. Sexton. There was another Tyra as Census shows born much later in some things I have seen. Right now can't come up with what I am looking for, but will keep looking. Let me know what you think of this information at this time. When I find what I am looking for will send it. Might be a few days. Let me hear from all of you. Thanks.
