I am looking for information on Millie M. BOGGS who married Edward A. BOALICH. Here is the wedding announcement from the Democratic Watchman, 6 September 1878: E. A. Boalick married Millie M. Boggs on March 22, 1878 at the Presbyterian Parsonage in Tyrone, Blair County, Pennsylvania. Both were from Centre County. Rev. S. M. Moore officiating. Evidently, for whatever reason, this marriage did not last long. In 1880, Edward BOALICH shows up in Hastings, Nebraska without Millie. In the 1880 census Edward lists himself as "single" not as a "widow". Was there a divorce? Or did Millie die? I really have nothing on Millie (birth, death, parents, etc) and would appreciate any information on her. Thanks, Jim Reichman Black Forest, Colorado
Karen I met a man last year who took me to the spot where Regina is buried, there is no stone, but he remembered the spot. Also, he knows where Dow is buried. He couldn't take me there, because he had people waiting on him, and I only had one day. But he told me how to get there. Unfortunately, I got lost and never found the place, but he said if I come down again, he would take me. He lives on Caines Creek in Lawrence County. Send me a private email, or call me 513-899-4110, and I will give you his name and phone #., John Holbrook On Mon, 21 May 2001 12:11:48 -0700 "Harold Mullins" <hwmullins@zoomnet.net> writes: > KARON. > > YOUR RIGHT ON TARGET ON DOW WAS TREATED IN HIS OLD AGD...MY OLDEST > BROTHER > JESS KNRW DOW WELL TOLD ME STORIES ON DOW THAT ILLISTRATES WHAT YOU > SAID. > > ABOUT 1918, JUST AFTER THE WAR, THERE WAS AN OIL BOOM OPENING UP IN > THE > BLAINE AREA AND THE EQUIPMENT WAS BROYGHT IN WIS OX TEEM AND WAGON. > DOW WHO > LIVED AT THE LOWER END AND OFTEN HITCHED RIDES UP TO NEED PLACE. Harold, thank you for the information. I will call them tomorrow and see what I can find out. I have heard some pretty bad stories how Dow was treated. He was my father's grandfather. I am sure there is no marking there either, but hopefully there is a record somewhere of the general area where they are buried. Karen

Does anyone on the list know where these two are buried? I am going to be in Floyd County Kentucky for the next two weeks and want to drive to Lawrence County while I am there, and hopefully find their graves. These are my great-grandparents. It is to my understanding that they are buried in separate cemeteries, but am not for sure. I also believe that Lorenzo is buried at the poor man's cemetery, but do not know where that is either. Any help would be appreciated. Karen Taylor
I was perusing your PhotoPoint website and saw the Boggs pictures. While I'm not sure if I'm related, I saw a number of names that were familiar to me, especially the surnames "Johnson" and "Rose." The only Rose in my genealogy program is Eliz. Given Rose who married James Perry Boggs in Braxton County, WV. My gr-gr-grandfather was Johnson Warren Boggs. I am descended from Charles F. Boggs who was born in Chester Co., Pa. and moved to Braxton Co. when it was in VA. His son was James Clendenin Boggs, who had a son, James Anderson Boggs, who married Susan Cutlip. Their son Johnson Warren Boggs married Lydia Smith, and their daughter, Lucy Richmond Boggs, was my gr-grandmother. I have quite an extensive genealogy of my Boggs family and am finding cousins all the time. Would anyone on this list be looking for someone in my line, or should you have any more information, I would love to share. Is anyone out there familiar with a Jacqueline Boggs? She would have been born in California about 1907, and was the daughter of Lillian H. Boggs. Lillian was married to Francis Boggs, but they were separated and/or divorced by this time, and Francis was probably not the father of Jacqueline. However, Lillian continued to use the name Lillian H. Boggs and there is nothing to suggest that she remarried, so it is possible that Jacqueline used the Boggs family name. Any help anyone might offer will be greatly appreciated. -- Bob Birchard bbirchard@earthlink.net http://www.mdle.com/ClassicFilms/Guest/birchard.htm
