Hello Boggs researcher, I was just looking around the mailing lists at RootsWeb and found your list and thought I would subscribe and see if anyone can help me fill in the gaps in my Boggs ancestors. I have been researching my Greathouse ancestors for several years now and have discovered several connections between my Boggs and Greathouse ancestors among other surnames, Tanner, and Webb. For any researchers who have found ties between Boggs and Greathouse, you might want to take a look at a web site I run for a group called the Greathouse Cousin Network called Greathouse Point. I am sorry, I omitted dates. I believe Silas and twin brother John were born about 1864. A friend has suggested they were the sons of James Boggs and Tabitha Dixon Boggs. John and Tabitha were on the 1860 Letcher Co. Census and the 1870 Harlan Co. Census. If any of you have access to these, maybe you could look them up.
