My record shows, James Charles Boggs, b.. About 1725, New Castle Co, DE, married Margaret Jane Sharp, 25 Feb 1750/51, Old Swedes Church, New Castle Co, DE, by the Reverend Israel Acrelius, at Wilmington, DE Margaret, the probable youngest daughter of William Jr. and Mary (Austin) Sharp, was born about 1729, in Haddonfield, NJ. . My data on this marriage is from the Boggs Newsletter, published by Alice C. Grady, in which at least 4 independent sources confirmed. My records show James R. Boggs, a son of John Boggs & Susan Drennin, b. 22 May 1800, Greenbrier Co, VA now WV, d.6 Aug 1887, Smithfield, Jefferson Co, WV, m. 1. Harriet Walkup abt 1820, Greenbrier Co, VA now WV, m. 2. Nancy O'Brien, bef. 1834, m. 3. Lucy Ann O'Brien, 1845. Your 28 June 1824, Greenbrier Co, VA now WV, m. date to Harriet Walkup is credible. I have their daughter Susan, being b. Apr 1821 & a son , John R. Boggs, b. 1825. There were 6 children of this marriage. I need to get a copy of the source that you have and compare it against a separate source. JAB, Milaca, MN
Grace, Thank you very much for the lookup, I'm not sure there is a connection, but I appreciate your effort. Bryan

Thanks for the URL on Dock Boggs' Blues. I was just reading about 12 bar blues melodies and it's fascinating to find an authentic mountain blues musician at the same time that I start reading up on blues.
