Hello Listers, I am tracing the life of William Duthie. During the Boer War he joined the Colonial Scouts. He then joined G Squadron of the Commander-in-Chiefs Bodyguard. I have some letters that he wrote to the Colonial secretary asking for his bonuses for going through Zululand and rations substitution. Could anyone tell me where the Colonial Scouts fought, what does going through Zululand mean? Also, what did G squadron of the C-in-C bodyguard do? Lastly he mentions the late Queens chocolate, I believe that it came in tins, is there anywhere one could obtain a tin?
