    3. 'Glad to help, Helen. Thomas Packenham's book on the ABW is a probably your best bet. Though there are not many war memorials in Canada to the 8000 Canadians who served in the Anglo-Boer War, some do exist. 'Probably nearest one to you is in the Victoria Armories on Bay Street -- the Memorial Cross inside near The Canadian Scottish Regiment's quarters. However, you are nearer to the town of Ladysmith, an entire town that may be said to be a memorial in itself -- anyway, it was named after the famous Siege Of Ladysmith. The public library there has a copy of my "Kruger's Gold." Scotland was very much involved in the ABW, as you probably know. I do recall seeing a couple of Boer War memorials over there. Maybe take a look at this "Scots At War" web site: http://www.scotsatwar.org.uk/ Best Regards from Victoria. -- Sidney Allinson. www.xlibris.com/krugersgold.html
