In June 1901 the Ist KFS under Colenbrander were railed from the Cape to the very north around Pietersberg and Louis Trichardt where they operated until May 1902 and took several Boer Commandos They ranged from east of Haenertsburg and west to beyond Waterberg, then on to Bechuanaland and Rustenburg. Will do. The KFS were recruited from all over the country..what was your man's name? Some names are added to in the book "the colonials in South Africa"by John Stirling published in 1904. Most big libraries will have a copy.
