Hello Listers, After the fall of Pretoria, a unit of the British forces was garrisoned in the orchard of the farm 'Lisdogan', in Pretoria. Does anyone know which unit this might have been? I'm hoping someone may have seen reference to it somewhere. 'Lisdogan' was owned by Andrew Johnston, and was situated in Church Street, in an area known as Brynterion, just north of where the Union Buildings are now situated. Andrew Johnston was a merchant in Pretoria, who originally came from Co.Sligo, Ireland, and later became mayor of Pretoria. Regards, Brian.
