    3. Hi, I am writing to ask if anyone out there knows which Glos Regiments served in the Boer War. From what I can find out from local history, there was the Glos Regiment , the Glos Hussars and the Glos Yeomanry. Did they join together as one unit or did they fight separately. Be glad of any info anyone has. Many thanks Sue Newman

    3. Hi Susan, Why don't you try the Regimental museum at Gloucester. It is very good and should house the info that you seek. Regards, David B, in a cold Betty's Bay, South Africa awaiting the return of the southern right whales. -----Original Message----- From: susan NEWMAN [mailto:sueandkev@homebooks.freeserve.co.uk] Sent: 04 May 2005 08:12 To: BOER-WAR-L@rootsweb.com Subject: Glos Regiments Hi, I am writing to ask if anyone out there knows which Glos Regiments served in the Boer War. 3. If you go to the web site of the Gloucester Regiment, there is an old photograph of the Gloucesters marching through St Helena Island with a large group of Boer War POWs - this will give you more information. I hope that this assists. Kirk & Annette Newman, Christchurch, New Zealand. ----- Original Message ----- From: "susan NEWMAN" <sueandkev@homebooks.freeserve.co.uk> To: <BOER-WAR-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Wednesday, May 04, 2005 6:11 PM Subject: [BOER-WAR] Glos Regiments > Hi, > > I am writing to ask if anyone out there knows which Glos Regiments served in the Boer War.
