I understand that my great grandfather, Thomas Reginald Briggs Parker, served as a mounted infantryman in the Prince of Wales Own Hussars (IY) during the Anglo - Boer War. He returned to England after his tour of duty and emigrated to New Zealand in 1906, becoming national president of the South African War Veterans' Association in 1953. I have tried to find Anglo - Boer War service records and medals awarded to specific servicemen on the web without success. I would appreciate any information you can provide me with.
