Hi Folk's I am new to this list, I have joined in the hope that some kind soul can help me. My family were living in Aberdeenshire when the Boar War started, Arthur William ROBERTSON went to South Africa as a Boar War farm servant, his brother John Kear ROBERTSON also went and joined the Natal Militia. Can anybody tell me anything about this unit, when it started and when it was disbanded. I am trying to find out when John went to Canada, I cannot find him entering on the Ellis Island site, and later served in the First World War.
