    3. Bill: I do have his Christian Name but I can tell you that he served with 8th Battery, Royal Field Artillery and "4419" is his service number. There won't be any service papers for him at the PRO because he was a casualty. Normally the medal rolls do not give the man's Christian name, only his initials. The casualty roll indicates that he was killed by lightning. Regards.
