Good morning researchers, Can anyone identify a book or other source where I might be able to find out more about the 24th. Battalion Imperial Yeomanry the Metropolitan Mounted Rifles in the Boer War 1901-02? My great uncle was a Lieutenant on Colonel Bryne's staff but I have not been able to find any details about their day-to-day actions, just a brief reference in that great book 'Absent-Minded Beggars'. Would official War Diaries have been kept for Imperial Yeomanry during the Boer War, and if so, would they be kept anyware in addition to Kew which I am unable to visit? I have been in touch with the Westminster Dragoons but they are currently somewhat 'busy' in Iraq. So far, their Old Comardes Association have been unable to help. Any suggestions will be most welcome, Crhis retired mariner Norfolk
