Hi Terry, My grandfather 's brother, Cpl. Joseph HOLLAND No. 7932 was in the 18 Coy RAMC during his service in the Boer War. He was in South Africa from 23.10.1899 until 26.7.1900 when he embarked for the UK and was discharged from the Army after completing 13 years of service, on the 16th Oct.1900 "... in consequence of the termination of his period of engagement ". I wonder if it possible to find out from Stirling 's book, "Our Regiments in South Africa" where the 18 Coy RAMC would have been located during the above given dates. Any help you may be able to give me would be most appreciated. Regards. Patrick. Perth, western Australia.
