    3. Hi Ted Not that I am aware of. My paternal grandfather was actually christened PIPE - the family name for generations. By the time he married in 1902 he was using the name PIKE, as were several of his siblings who moved from south Somerset (place of origin) to Glamorgan. PIPE is even less common than PIKE, only really occurring in south Somerset, Suffolk and Warwickshire prior to the 19th century. David Pike (formerly Pipe!)
