Does anyone know anything about my husband's uncle (above) who was a well-known football manager and fought in the Boer War in his late teens? He gained his rank in WW2 on the Somme commanding a battalion of footballers. Where can I find lists of soldiers who fought in the Boer War? Does the 1901 census list them?
