    3. Hello Shirley, Only one man called Cutler is shown as died on service in the Boer War. My reference shows a discrepancy with his initial, quoting both T and J as being recorded. He was 5410 Private 1st Battalion South Staffordshire Regiment and he died of disease at Bethlehem 20/6/1901. This is a bit of a long shot for you. Your man may equally have been a civilian who died in SA at that time from causes unconnected with the war.
