I would be grateful if anyone could help me with information on the participation in the war of anyone with my paternal surname "Fitzhenry". Any information would be appreciated. 3. Anthony, My great grandfather had a Ben Marais (Barend Gabriƫl) * 24 Dec? cousin from Wakkerstroom/Pongola who was in the Boer War with him, and who used to be my dad's hero on account of his big game hunting adventure stories. I'm scarce on information on him. It's a long shot, but I thought I'd mention it to you on the scant chance that there might be a connection. He was married to Johanna Martina Labuschagne * 14 Jul ?.
