I am researching a relative CHARLES JOSEPH MOREHEN who was born in London, England and died in South Africa. In 1901 he was a Lance Corporal in the 2nd Royal Warwickshire Regiment. His marriage certificate, 8 days before the 1901 Census, lists his residence as 'Camp', but I can't find him in the 1901 Census itself. I know the 2nd Royal Warwickshire Regiment was in South Africa during the Boer War, but I have no indication of whether he was there or not - the shipping lists seem to list only the officers. I know he came back to England and raised a family, and then emigrated back to SA, where he died, so he wouldn't be listed in any casualty lists. I would like to find out whether he was stationed in South Africa during the Boer War or not. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Pam London, Canada
