Hi to all , 44486 Hudson .Thomas Farrier /Sgt 30 Bn Imp.Yeo. 4553 Hudson Thomas Farrier Sgt 53 Coy 14 Bn Imp Yeo. 4358 Pte T. Hudson 18 Hussars. 4351 Pte T.Hudson 19 Hussars. 3545 Pte T.Hudson 20 Hussars. all the above five Soldiers served and returned from the Boer War 1899 to 1902 . however there was a Gunner T Hudson # 4419 RFA.who was killed at Standerton on 9th Jan 1902. My plight is that my Grand father who was a Thomas Hudson who married to my Grandmother in Lucknow India was a Private ,and did not give his regiment on his marriage certificate. However his total absence from my Mothers life, and later his wife ,said to have died, left them well provided for in a Local convent/Orphanage.In India. In my mother papers after her death was a Photograph of an unknown soldier , taken in India around 1890's, showing his collar badges to be the small flaming grenade.Hence the suggestion of Thomas Hudson being in the RFA,?. Also on Mothers Marriage Cert , it shows Thomas Hudson's rank as being that of Farrier Sgt.? Now I understand that I am not able to get ant information on Gnr T Hudson 4419 , other that a death certificate that has the pre mentioned Name. this man could have been a Thedore or a Trevor or some other name. Is there a simple way that I can check the remaining T . and Thomas Hudson's that I have listed above , to see what their spouse's name were,Fathers name etc or next of kin etc. I would be most gratefully if someone could help over this brick wall that I have hit. Regards Bill in Weymouth .N.Z.
