This is an opportunity for us to answer some of the questions we have about the common origins for many of our Boatwright lines. I have been active in several of the other studies, and they have given very interesting results. We should see similar results for the Boatwrights. We were going to wait until we could setup a great web site to track the results before making this study active, but FTDNA has given us an incentive to get into gear this month. The company has issued the project two $30 off certificates on their 25 or 37 marker Y-DNA tests. These are the tests that only males named Boatright or Boatwright can take as they track the male line pedigree. father to son. They have also have given us a $15 off certificate on an mtDNA test that is used for testing the maternal line as it is passed from a mother to all of her children. Anyone can take this test.
