Thomas m. Elizabeth Wing, born 1790 in SC and died in Georgia. They came from South Carolina to Georgia, but had Lewis B. Boatright before going to Georgia. 2)Lewis B. Boatright b. Oct. 1, 1810 in SC and died Jan. 30, 1898 in Lafayette Co., MS He married Catherine "Katie" Nov. 6, 1839 in Georgia. Katie died Aug. 27, 1888 in Lafayette Co., MS. Lewis later married Alsey Elizabeth "Elsie" Stark. She died May 9, 1940 in Lafayette Co., MS. Lewis occupation was farming and he was a Primitive Baptist. 3)Jasper Newton "Newt" Boatright was born July, 1858 in Itawamba Co., MS. and died in 1935 in Lafayette Co., MS. He married Francis E. "Fannie" Hensley Feb. 14, 1879 in Lafayette Co., MS. Fannie was born in 1861 in MS. and died in 1943 in Lafayette Co., MS. She was the daughter of Mark Hensley and Mary Elizabeth Pitts. Newt and Fannie had 12 children: 4)Gertrude only lived nine days b. in Yalobusha, Co. MS. 4)Thomas Jefferson "Tom" born Aug. 29, 1881 in Yalobusha Co. MS. and died May 24 1958. He married Lavada Tallant of Pontotoc Co. on Nov. 23, 1902. They had seven children: 5)Curtis, Ernest, Dorothy, Johnny, Etta Mae, Gladys and Earl. 4)Ada "Aubrey" was born April 1882 and died Feb. 1969 in Wynne, Arkansas. Ada Married Columbus Barton Bridges June 10, 1906. They ahd nine children: 5)Theodore H., Clarence G., Hulan, Howard, Flovel H., William Hubert, Claude, Audrey, and Edna Faye. 4)Ollie Earl "Oll" was born March 10, 1891 and died April 22, 1967. He married Dovie Irene Barton on Oct. 16, 1910. They had eight children: 5)Hazel, Vivian Inez, Correne, Lyles, Faye Belle, Carlene, Ruby and Bobby. 4)Marion Alexander Stephen "Bud" (my great grandfather) was born Dec. 29, 1884 and died Feb. 26, 1971 in Greenville, MS. He is buried in Greenville Cemetery. He married Lilla Barton born April 27, 1884 in MS and died August 23, 1940. She had alot of Indian in her. I had always heard that her father was a full blooded indian. Lilla my Great Grandmother was first married to a Miller and they had two children: Claude Percival Miller and Vivian Miller. Vivian died at a young age around nine years old. Claude was born in 1902 and died and was buried in Glen Allen, MS. in 1931. He was only 29 when he died. He married Katie Lou Mixon in 1920 and they had four children: Christine Louise Miller born Feb. 2, 1922, William Russell Miller born 1924, Angie Pearl Miller born 1927 and Claude Eugene Miller born Oct. 30, 1931. Katie Lou Miller married Rudolph Slater whom she had another son by. Lilla Barton then married Marion Alexander Stephen "Bud" Boatright. They had seven children: 5)Ellene Boatright called "Snooks" by family born Feb. 8, 1912 died March 24, 2004. m. William Michael Tavenner born June 11, 1911. died March 8, 1984, 5)James Newton Boatright called "Boatie" by friends was born Oct. 3, 1914. m. Ocean Gertrude Richardson on June 20,1936. Ocean was b. Feb. 3, 1917 and died March 20, 2005 and is buried in Greenville Cemetery. They had one adopted daughter named Janice Ann b. Sept. 12, 1951 m. Ellard "Ray" Adams b. Sept. 15, 1948 m. April 29, 1972. They have one adopted son (7) James Ray b. Oct. 8, 1983. 5)Cassel Elizabeth Boatright, (my Grandmother) born Sept. 8, 1915 and died Jan. 1994 in Jackson, MS she married Horace Lavelle "Red" Meredith (my Grandfather)on Aug. 28, 1929 in Hollandale, MS "Red" was born April 11, 1911 in Sunflower Co. MS and died April 7, 1986 in Greenville, MS They had two children:6)Horace Lavelle "Sonny" Meredith Jr.,and Elizabeth Ann "Sister" Meredith (my Mother)b. Dec. 9, 1932? died Nov. 29, 2006 in Slidell, Louisiana. Elizabeth Meredith married Edward Clinton Trotter on Feb. 24, 1948. Edward was born Sept. 1935. They had one son: 7) Larry Edward, born July 20, 1949. Elizabeth later married Harold Eugene Cason Sr. on June 18, 1952. Harold was born May 16, 1931 and died May 3, 1998 in Florida. They had two children:7)Harold Eugene "Sonny" Cason Jr. born April 18, 1953 and married Suzanne Solomon on July 28, 1987. They had one daughter, 8)Felicia born Oct. 10, 1988. 7)Regina Gail "Gina" Cason born August 26, 1956 in Elaine Arkansas.Regina has two daughters:8) Lindsey Anne Cason born Feb. 20, 1985 and Stevie Gail Canterbury born Jan. 25, 1991. 6)Elizabeth later married Thomas Wiley Avery on May 16, 1964. They had one daughter:7)Kimberly Meredith "Kim" Avery born March 22, 1965 and married Linville Truchu "Troy" Reed on April 6, 1985. Troy was born Nov. 1, 1963. They had two children:8)Meridith Cienwin, born August 12, 1986 and 8)Joshua Andrew born August 7, 1989. Kim later married Lonnie Paul Vollentine on July 22, 1994. Lonnie was born April 28, 1973. They had twins:8)Avery Macall and 8)Alonzo Paul born May 21, 1998. Liz later married George Nathan "Diddle" Rutherford in 1989. He was born Oct. 3, 1928 in Sallis, MS and died June 22, 1998 in Greenville, MS 5)Cassel later married Malcolm McCorqadale Pitman b. June 5, 1916 in Clarke Co. Alabama and died July 10, 1990 in Greenville, MS. They had one daughter:6) Daisy Cienwin "Kie" born July 1951 and died around 1973 in an automobile accident. 5)Edward Boatright, 5)Jewel Boatright, 5)Jettie Boatright 5)Juanita Boatright. 4) Mary Elizabeth "Bessie" was born in 1863 and died Feb. 11, 1970. She married Amos Vines on Sept. 16, 1906. They had five children: 5)Eura, Arthur, Duell, Mable and James Lewis. 4)Mark Evander was born April 13, 1893 and died Oct. 5, 1966 and is buried in Oak Hill Cemetery in Water Valley, MS. He married Vesta Neal on Jan. 16, 1916. They had five children: 5)Mary Francis, Clydene Russell, Aubrey Elbert, Samuel Mark and Dannell Elizabeth. 4)Elton Stanford was born July 7, 1896 and died Nov. 3, 1980. He married Estelle Grace on Feb. 18, 1914. They had seven children: 5) Elvis Theron, Elton Julian, Lela Louise, Lola Mae, Cecil Murl, Allie Lee and Mary Nell. 4)Malcolm "Mal" was born March 3, 1898 and died Feb. 1994. He married Cecil Irene Carroll on June 20, 1920. They had three children: 5)Ross Nolan, Robert Gayland and Bonnie Faye. 4)Huel died as an infant unknown date. 4)Cortis or C.M. was born Nov. 14, 1904 and died Nov. 13, 1965. He married Ila May Taylor on May 1, 1921. They had two children: Edward and Ruby Lee. 4)Connie Mae was born October 24, 1906 and died in Memphis TN. She married Claude A. Brown. They had four children: 5)Richard, Claudia, Jeanette, and Barbara Ann. There is a WEbb Cemetery and a Pine Flat Cemetery and a Tula Cemetery in Lafayette Co. MS. and Yalobusha Co.
