I am not sure of your branch, but I know that mine began in VA, then were in NC before the Rev War. Given land grants in TN for service in War. In Cumberland Gap Area. They went to KY with Daniel Boone, then to Ark. Thomas and Amy Rushing Boatright my 5ggrandparents were with Austins first 300 settlers into TX. They always seemed to be the first people into a territory, and moved on when others began to move in. They intermarried with my Trammell family, and seemed to travel with them through each new territory. Two orphan Trammell boys went to TX with them. Burke Trammell died at the Alamo. The Trammells intermarried with the Crocketts, also. The Rushings were also companions, and the Smoots. They were in Tx @ 1830. I know that some of the Trammells that did not move to new territories went to GA, Fl, LA during the Civil War to escape hostilities. I hope this helps a little. Happy hunting, Linda
