I believe the question has been put to this group before, but has any researcher on this list come across an explanation for the origins of Frances Tinsley Boatright/Boatwright? She was born 1793 or 4 Jan 1799, Cumberland Co., VA, married Singleton Lile Kasey 28 Oct 1822 in Bedford Co., VA, and died 3 Jan 1865 in Breckinridge or Hardin County, KY. She is buried in the Grandview/Kasey Cemetery in Breckinridge Co., KY. Some have said that James M. Boatwright (~1768, Cumberland, VA - after 1 June 1850, Campbell Co., VA) was her father. I have not seen evidence of that, though she was born in the middle of the time frame in which his other children were born. What I think is strange is that James M.'s brother John Joseph's wife was named Frances (or Elizabeth)Tinsley. How often does a man name a daughter after his brother's wife? John Joseph was having children in the 1790s, too. Couldn't he be the father? Frances Tinsley is my ggg grandmother.
