23 April 2002 I could use your help in clarifying the two (2) marriages of LANGHORN(E) BOATWRIGHT. He is believe to be the son of JESSE BOATWRIGHT AND JUDITH TABB, born ca. 1776 in Cumberland Co., VA. It is believed he married two (2) sisters, the second one after the first died. Marriage #1: to SALLY BOATWRIGHT (same last name - could be a cousin?). Some sources believe her to be the daughter of DANIEL BOAT(W)RIGHT AND JANE MARTIN, born 1766 or 1779 in Cumberland Co., VA. The marriage may have occurred on 15 July 1809 in Cumberland Co., VA. Marriage #2: to MARY BOATWRIGHT, her sibling. Other more specific data not known by me. There are other sources who believe LANGHORN(E) BOATWRIGHT married the two daughters (SALLY AND MARY) of JAMES BOATWRIGHT (b. ca. 1745 - d. ca. 1815) and his second wife, MARY KIDD (b. ca. 1750 - d. ?). Would appreciate any light you may be able to throw on this family. Frank

20 April 2002 Need some help with BOATRIGHTS/BOATWRIGHTS in Wilkes Co., Georgia. There is a "WIDOW BOATWRIGHT" noted in The Wilkes County Papers 1773-1831. Can any of you identify her? Who was her husband? and when/where did he die? On page 117 of that document, it lists her as "WIDOW BOATWRIGHT, NOW ISAAC HOPKINS' WIFE". Would any of you be able to clarify that? The cite continues with the listing of three (3) children, all noted as "sons of Widow Boatwright": CHESLY, JAMES and RHODAMANTHUS. I would appreciate any additional information you may be able to provide. Frank Boatwright
