Any information on any of these would be greatly appreciated.
My great-grandfather was James W. Boatwright who was born in Lexington County, S.C. Around 1850 he married Mary Abigail Hartley and they moved to Tallapoosa County (later became Elmore County), AL. She died ca 1863 and he then married Sarah Langley. Sarah and James W.'s youngest daughter was named Julia. She married Rufus Hill in Elmore County, AL. That's the only Julia Boatwright with whom I'm familiar. Winifred Allen Akridge
Sorry I have 7 Julias but none will match that data. But don't give up,if you think she was married twice perhaps her first husband was a Boatwright which would then make it very hard to find her. But the Sam Brown was interesting as I have Brown/Boatwright links also. In fact I have a gr-gr-uncle Samuel Brown. Happy hunting and if I can help contact me,Jerry.
My Julia may have been married once, before she eventually married a Sam Brown. The only information that I have is that she perhaps lived in Jefferson County, Georgia or maybe even Burke county, Georgia. She was born in July of 1885 and died in November of 1938. I am sorry that that is all the information that I have. I have alot of speculation but very little information. --- Knotzi000@aol.com wrote: > I have several. I have several. Can you give me any more data and perhaps I can connect it ot one of them. Jerry Boatwright[SC]
No, I sorry, I haven't a Julia anywhere.
Do you have a Julia Boatwright in your family tree? --- AMOSAUTOMOTIVE@cs.com wrote: > Linda, > I am having trouble with my South Carolina > Boatwrights. Your Daniel Boatright was the brother of my grgrgrgr grandfather Chesley Hood Boatright. Chesley moved to TN, AR in the early 1800s. They were Cheekee Indians. I have to look up his wife's name from my files but it does not come to mind at this time. He also had a couple of children out of wedlock, they were born and lived in VA. One of those children were my grgrgr grandmother Polly Ann Boatright. Do you know anything about her? I believe Chesley's sister Judith Boatright Martin raised her. Do you have pictures of any of the Boatrights? Thank you so very much, My new email address is fhutchinson@comcast.com

Friends, My new address is BobMeador@comcast.net
This is the same Boatright family. Thomas went to TX with Austin's firtst 300, but got fed up with the Mexican government's failure to grant them their land. They returned to ARK and several members of the Trammell and Boatrights died then. Amy returned to TX and was granted the land. The dates you have are correct. I was not aware that Amy was a Rushing. However you can look in Navarro County TX and find Rushings along with the Trammell families. I would appreciate you info. I can send my address to you if necessary. Linda
Thomas and Amy Rushing Boatright were in TX by 1830. I know all about the Trammells, but know nothing about the Boatrights earlier than this. I do know that they must have been associated with Moses Austin and his son Austin. They were with the first 300 settlers into TX. They also took James and Burke Trammell (orphans) with them. Any help appreciated. Thanks Linda
Joy, I already have the information you referrenced. I will be back in touch with you. Linda or Nancy Thomas was born around 1763 we think in NC or SC. He married Amy Rushing probably in Anson County NC for there is a Thomas Boatright there. I have info on Richard Rushing who was Amy's father and also lived in Anson Co. NC. I have several papers on Richard's pension, some diagrams of his family and several generations back. I also have part of a document regarding a dec'd Amy and her brother who was in Pope Co. AR and her son Thomas. I have narrowed Amy's death in Texas around 1838 for I have a document that she sold some land but then early the next year there is a document saying her heirs. I can't put my hands on it at the moment for we have moved our computer room from over the garage back to the house and I am not sure where anything is at the moment. I have a document that says Thomas Sr. was alive after 1830 to 1833 but Amy and lots of her sons and daughters and families were back in Texas around 1833-1835. It looks as if Thomas may have died in AR or on the way back to TX for when Amy applied for land 1833-1835 she is listed as a widow. Please give me more information about your Thomas. Dates please and I'll see what I can do. Hope your family is doing well.
