Your info re Elizabeth said 11 children. In addition to Benjamin I have names of another 9 as Martha, Miriel, James, William, Elizabeth, Alexander, Infant son lived 15 days, Rhoda and Lucy. Who was the eleventh child? Your post is the first I have ever seen that gives the middle initial "E" to Elizabeth's husband Benjamin. Do you have a valid source for the "E"? You state that Elizabeth was of Cherokee Indian descent. About 100+ years ago a number of Boatwright descendents of Elizabeth, including my grandfather, attempted to make a claim of cherokee indian descent to the government but failed. Do you have any proof of your statement? I and the other cc addressee have extensive data on descendents of the father in law of Elizabeth, James Boatwright b 1745. My own files include 2642 names. Some of the information that I have is different from yours. Your info shows Eliza Jane as being one of Martin's first wife's children. According to the info that I have, she is the daughter of his second wife. Eliza Jane is my great grandmother. Eliza Jane married James C. Francis ( my grandmother's parents). Eliza Jane had a half sister named Callie (she was a child of Martin's first wife). Callie was married to a Chafin. They lived on Blue Branch Road in Giles County, Tenn. I actually have met Callie. Those facts I do know to be correct. The Giles County Historical Society has lots of information on the Boatrights. I will try to get to Tennessee to check out these records. Again, thank you for your note. I am always seeking out information on all of my family. Since I've been doing this, I feel as if I should know all of these people personally. First wife was Patsy, b 1827, died around 1865. Four children: John J. b. 1853, Rebecca A. b. 1855, William J. b. 1857, Eliza Jane b. 1861 Second wife name: Elizabeth b. 1837 Four children: Sarah A. b. 1868, Martha b. 1870, Manerva b.1873, Nancy b. 1875. I think we have sent e-mails back and forth to each other in the past few years. Martin would also be my gggrandfather also. I have done a family tree starting with Martin to the present day. John J. would be my ggrandfather and James H. would be grandfather. John J. was the first son of Martin and James H. was the fourth child of John J. My dad (John W.) was the second child of James H.
