Surnames: Boatright Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/ZYE.2ACEB/323 Message Board Post: I have been looking (very unsuccessfully) for information on the parents of Biddy Ollie Boatright. She was my Great Grandmother. She married Joe Chappell. She was born in Madison County Arkansas and lived in Hindsville, AR at the time of her death. I believe the year of her birth is 1883, I am uncertain of the year of death. I would love to hear from anyone who might have any information. I have done several searches on several genealogy sites and there is no match found for her name at all. Thank you in advance for any help you might be able to give me. Leisa

    2. Hey, Kristina, thank you so much for such kind words. You made my day! I haven't been very active in searching for info about my family, but I'm beginning to feel inspired :). If I ever come across anything that I think would help you, I'll be sure and let you know. Below is a copy of the email I sent to Nancy Gay Crawford. I'm not sure how all this works and I didn't know if you would be able to view it on the site or not. It contains what I remember. Hey, Nancy, I don't know how they might be connected. My grandfather is the Ben Boatright that is on the list of cemeteries for Georgia, the Shepherd H. Findley Cemetery in Emanuel County. My daddy was close to 20 years older than my mother and passed away when I was 13 so I really don't have a lot to rely on other than a child's memory of what my mother talked about. She loved the Boatright side of the family and talked about them a lot. I don't know if any of this will help, but here goes :)...I know that my granddaddy was married several times. I remember hearing talk about wives named Daisy and Addie Lou or Addie Lee, can't remember which name it was. His sisters were Nora Lee (Ennis), Essie Mae(Williford), Mabel (Holland), Lena and Martha Lou. His brothers were J.C. and Benjamin F. Unfortunately, we were not a close family and I haven't seen our family in many, many years. I know that Uncle Benjamin F. lives in Athens, Ga. and Aunt Nora Lee lives in Macon, Ga. My daddy's first marriage was to Judith Williamson Boatright. She burned to death in a fire on our family farm. They had a son, Stephen Lance, whom my mother raised as her own until he died from Hodgkin's disease at the age of 8. My parents, Judith, Stephen, and a stillborn son who belonged to my parents, are all buried in Pinecrest Cemetery in Vidalia, Ga. Daddy was born on August 29, 1909, and died on February 16, 1969. I remember hearing that my father's family lived in Garfield and Oak Park, Ga. so I feel there must be some connection here, and I would appreciate any information that you have. I had good intentions when I signed up, but I've gotten sidetracked over the years. And that's about it, but again, I'll let you know if I find anything! Nancy S. Boatright .

Clementine Elizabeth was married to James Marion Webb. They had Clementine Elizabeth Webb who married Henry Fisher. Prior to Nannie, I believe she was married to a Wright or Boatwright, which I believe on the webb side Mary Duncan and Mary Rains, Edmong Benge are our family. On Boatwright side Buffington and Crittenden and Benge. I am the Grandaughter of Clementine Elizabeth Webb. My mother Mary Elizabeth Fretter/Fisher/Webb/Boatwright is the daughter of Clementine. I myself am Kristina Frances Fretter Hall. I have been researching for 6 months or so, I do have a few leads, but I am at a standstill as to whom Nannie was married to and who her parents were. If you are able to assist in my family heritage I would be very greatful. I would also be proud to share with you what I have. It would be nice to know that you are family as well. Thank y! ou Very much Kristina Hall

    2. Hey, I'm sorry, I don't have any information for you other than the little I know about my relatives. I've never heard anything about the people that you mentioned. My parents were Benjamin Harrison Boatright and Mary Ruth Robinson Boatright. His people were from Garfield, GA. I was named after his Aunt Nancy Sue who helped raise him after his mother's death. Wish I could help more and Good Luck in your search. Nancy Sue Boatright
