    3. Hi I cannot add any info earlier than Frank and Lucy but I do have census records for 1900, 1910, 1920 and 1930 that show them, and each child then living at the time of the census and their birth year. Not able to find any elder Frank in earlier Ill census records. Is the uniform in your picture Union or confederate? Jerry Boatwright. 2. Not that I know of but I have always been told that my ggrandfathre, James W. Boatwright, had three children by his second wife's sister aftr moving to Texas. Supposedly that sister (name unknown) accompanied him to Texas. Wish that I could put all the pieces of the puzzle together. Guess that's what makes genealogy interesting. Winnie

    2. Linda, my great grandfather, James W. Boatwright, supposedly came to the Temple, TX area ca 1880 but I have been unable to find him on the census for 1900 anywhere. Wish we had that one for 1890. Recently I received a picture of him made at a studio in Crockett, TX. It was probably made ca 1900. We also have another one that looks as if it was made shorty after that one and it was made by a studio in Birmingham. We know that he returned to Alabama before his death and is buried in a cemetery in Elmore Co., AL. James W. came from Lexington Co., SC to what was then Tallapoosa County (now Elmore), AL after 1850 but before 1855. He was married in SC to Mary Hartley. Their children were George Washington, Daniel Webster, James William, Jefferson Davis, Henry Clay and Sarah Mary Ceceila. Mary died ca 1862 and he then married Sarah Langley. They also had several children. Any of this sound familiar? Winnie

    2. Hi I too am researching Boatrights. Thomas Boatright and Amy Rushing were my 5th greatgrandparents. They went with Austin's first 300 settlers to found colony in TX. I don't know past that, but I do know that they were closely associated with my Trammell family which I have traced back to 1650's arrival in America. Their daughter Patsy m Thomas Trammell. I know that the Trammells came to Arkansas with a Col. Lovely who fraudulently sold them land and the gov't gave them other land in Arkansas. The Boatrights were in Ark before going to Tx. Trammells came there from IL, TN, KY, Carolinas, VA moving into each new territory as it opened. My trouble was they moved on as civilization came and so they aren't in a lot of the town or county histories. A pre-historic family, ha ha. Any Boatright info appreciated. Thanks Sincerely, Linda
