    1. [BAd] Heads Up: New Ancestry Program - Expert Connect

    3. Hi all, I wanted to make you aware of a new program sponsored by Ancestry.com, Expert Connect. We will be launching ads announcing this program in the next few days so I wanted to make sure you had some background in case you are asked questions, or in case you are interested in participating. The message from Ancestry is: "Ancestry.com invites you to help pioneer an exciting new family history service. Introducing Ancestry.com Expert Connect, a groundbreaking online tool that links knowledgeable family historians like you to one of the largest genealogy communities in the world. You've got skills and experience that can make a difference in people's lives, and we've got customers nationwide who need help retrieving records and obtaining photos of historical landmarks. You can set your hours, name your prices and even select the projects you want to work on. But first, set up your profile at http://expertconnect.ancestry.com/Researcher.aspx. Become an Expert Connect provider today!" I feel that the message sums up what the program is - but in a nut shell we are providing a place where researchers and people wanting help from researchers can meet. If you have any questions please let me know. We appreciate all that you do to support the message board community! Kind regards, Anna ANNA FECHTER Community Operations and Project Manager The Generations Network A 360 W 4800 N Provo, UT 84604 ancestry.com | genealogy.com | myfamily.com | rootsweb.com | family tree maker

    3. Hrmmmm..... Looks like the GenConnect Project or Acts of Genealogical Kindness gone commercial. Also looks like a place for the "commercial" folks to go rather than get posts removed from the Boards. Will give it more of a look later. Am I getting the correct idea in my brief look that one need not be a CG to post one's services for fee there?
