The size limit for list posts is set by the List Admin, usually somewhere between 10 and 30 KB. For comparison, 10KB is about 225 words, or the equivalent of a typed, double spaced 8-1/2 x 11 sheet of paper. >What happens if a List email is "too long?" It bounces to the List Admin. If they wish to allow it to be posted, they have to increase the size limit at least temporarily. "Accepting" an over sized post in Pending will not send it through to the list if it exceeds the maximum allowable size. Pat

While I never allow entire digests quoted to the list, I do allow large posts full of descendencies, long quotes from old books, etc. I never reset the size unless I get a heads-up that a big post is coming, and they always post just fine once released.
