Tom- The Board Info issues have been on-going for some time. I reported them about a month or more ago to the HelpDesk and the reply I received told me that the developers were working on that feature and eventually it would be fixed/restored. Your login is a different issue and unrelated to the above. As long as you are using the same username/password to login it should work reliably.
