You may remember that some time ago all message board admins received an email announcing upcoming board updates, including new board admin tools. We also mentioned that we'd be providing a tutorial to help you learn to use the new tools. Today's update did not include the admin tool changes mentioned in our original email. Only a few minor changes were made, so no tutorial is necessary. In fact, some of your administration tools have even retained the "old", look. Here are some of those small changes you should be aware of: - The link to go to the admin center is now located at the bottom of each message board page and appears ONLY when you are logged in with your admin ID. - Some admin tools, such the Recycle Bin, are now located in the Page Tools box. - To make it easier for admins. to navigate between boards they administer, links to them now appear on all pages in the admin center. - "Links and Announcements" is now been renamed "Board Information." Board information is more descriptive and will help your board members better understand what this valuable resource is. - The "Community Guidelines" have replaced by the "Board Rules" as the "rules" for participation on the boards. Please take a moment to familiarize yourself with these guidelines as part of your admin responsibilities. A link to the Community Guidelines can be found at the bottom of all message board pages. - The Board Help and Board FAQ pages have been completely updated. Links to those pages can be found at the bottom of all message board pages. Registration is now required in order to post to a board. This will help cut down on the amount of spam that is posted to the boards and will help message authors keep their contact information current.
