I have a funny feeling of de-ja-vue - is this the Lists update muddle through all over again? Under the old board system I had a direct link (bookmark/favourite) to an Admin sign-on page, where all I had to do was click a link and I was into my Board in admin mode. Three clicks in all. Now all that link does is throw me direct to the board in User mode. So I clicked on 'Sign In' (top right), bookmarked that page, signed in (fortunately I'd written down my password as it's a long time since I've had to use it !!), ticked 'remember me'; and finally 'Sign In' took me back to the Board page in Admin mode. A quick familiarisation with the new look board, not sure I like all of it - but that's another issue - time will tell. FWIW I believe the text about the board being gatewayed should be at the top, not tucked away down the bottom. OK, so I logged out to see if I could get back in directly via the Sign-In page. First (main) problem - the 'signin' page hasn't remembered me - I haven't changed any setting, so if the new logon page uses Cookies like the old, then that can't be the problem, can it ? Second (lesser) problem - I still have to find and click on my Admin bookmark for the Board, as signing on only gets me into the general RootsWeb Contents page. Am I doing something wrong ? Is there an easier way? Here's what to do. Close and reopen your browser. GOTO: http://boards.ancestry.com login find the board you want to edit. Click on the "Admin Center" link near the bottom of the page. Save the link in your favorites. The next you want to edit the board, use the favorite link. You have to rename the favorite, because the default is "Message Board" Gene At 06:21 AM 2006.12.07, you wrote: >I have a funny feeling of de-ja-vue - is this the Lists update muddle >through all over again? > >Under the old board system I had a direct link (bookmark/favourite) >to an Admin sign-on page, where all I had to do was click a link and >I was into my Board in admin mode.
