Hi Everyone, I have a poster who is cross-posting to several boards, who has taken text out of one of my posts to my county board and used it as her own without my permission. She is also in my opinion skating on thin ice as far as the surname category goes. She puts the surnames in the beginning of the post, but the post ends up being about one certain surname and she then ties it all in by saying "and related names". I have deleted a couple of her posts, one for the cross posting and copyright and then another last night demanding to know why her original post was removed. I emailed her explained why her post was deleted, she then sent back a really nasty email, which I have decided to ignore. But she has again posted this time to say that she has information on a certain person and to go to another board to check it out, but do not ask her on my board, to email her directly. Of course she again copied her original post that I deleted for copyright and it is now on two boards. How should I handle this? You can find copies of her posts here: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec?htx=admin.message&r=an&p=localities northam.usa.states.newyork.counties.dutchess&m=9530.1 http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec?htx=admin.message&r=an&p=localities northam.usa.states.newyork.counties.oneida&m=5220.2 These two involve the copyright issue and possibly cross posting - although only 2 boards now have this same message opposed to 7. http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec?htx=admin.message&r=an&p=localities northam.usa.states.newyork.counties.montgomery&m=3400 http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec?htx=admin.message&r=an&p=localities northam.usa.states.newyork.counties.dutchess&m=9530 http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec?htx=admin.message&r=an&p=localities northam.usa.states.newyork.counties.oneida&m=5220 http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec?htx=admin.message&r=an&p=localities northam.usa.states.connecticut.counties.windham&m=3454 cross posting? and: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec?htx=admin.message&r=an&p=localities northam.usa.states.newyork.counties.otsego&m=1891.3.1 abuse of the surname field or just stretching the line? and finally: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec?htx=admin.message&r=an&p=localities northam.usa.states.newyork.counties.otsego&m=4420 Is there a problem with this message? I'm at the point where I'm trying to keep my cool after the couple of nasty emails and am not sure if I'm not over reacting at this point. Thanks, Rene'
