It isn't always possible for the HelpDesk to give you an answer to programming questions--especially where the boards are concerned. I'm sure they pass along the "bugs" that are reported but can't always be expected to give you every detail of what is being done to fix things. Perhaps it might help to know that the boards are housed on a group of servers (sor of a "round robin" setup)--not just one--and sometimes when we see something really "quirky" or intermittent there might be a problem with ONE or TWO of the servers in the group. It is especially hard to find and fix a problem that only shows up SOMETIMES and on SOME of the servers but not on all of them. When reporting a bug always include WHEN you encountered the problem, and exactly what you are doing (or trying to do) at the time you ran into the problem, along with what browser you are using to access the boards. You won't always be consulted or told that the problem is being worked on--but if you report it to the HelpDesk you can rest assured that the problem will be relayed to those whose job it is to fix the problems.
