Several of us have given very clear and useful reasons for keeping "Re" as part of the subject in a thread. We are trying to explain how this little abbreviation helps Board users -- and THEY are who we do this volunteer work for, to make their reading of the Boards easier. Since you don't choose to believe other Admins, nor believe why both Ancestry and Rootsweb *programmed* Re into the reply feature, maybe you should post a message to the Rootsweb help desk or ask Staff.
