Judy, I haven't heard anything from staff yet nor have they removed any of her posts. I will wait til the end of the week and then try to remove her posts in the middle of threads the way you have it below. That is going to be quite a pain with over 80 objections. It is to aggravate but I am not going to let it get the best of me. I am smiling here...really I am lol. And thanks to all on this list who have/are trying to help us both. I deleted (per request) just one post with no replies. I will check back today to see if Staff took care of the other objections. If Staff doesn't, I will attempt to break the thread below the post she wants removed and move those ... then delete the poster's ONE post (or two) in the thread. Her demand is mostly, I think, to aggravate-- to prove her point, if you will. The posts, otherwise, are appropriate and could remain-- except for her blanket request for removal. I had also gotten a mail via Ancestry's Mail System--- I decided to NOT reply to her there at all. I figured she's already testy, so why aggravate her further-- or risk aggravating her further. She fully believes SHE knows how Admins "must" do their jobs and refuses to hear anything than what she believes. So... I'll give Staff time to intervene.... and if they don't, I'll go back to split up threads and delete those single posts. What a pain! Robin, I would NOT remove these objections. LET STAFF take care of it and you do NOT have to respond anymore to the harrassing poster. Contact the Help Desk and ask them to make a note that this person has been sending you harrassing and abusive messages and forward those to Help Desk also. Considering the number of posts involved wouldn't it make more sense to just let the staff take care it? I know that staff can globally remove spam so they may also be able to do the same for this poster. I think that you will need to give the staff some time to attend to it and would just let those posts sit there until they do. If the poster continues to complain you can notify he/she that the objections were reported to the staff. Then I would point him/her to the help desk should they have any more questions/complaints/demands. J. Hi, I did response to her message thru Ancestry service telling her that I have contacted staff and that someone official will be in contact with her. So far so good. She hasn't made any more posts on the board and no more objections. So I will take the advice given here and wait. This has been a very good conversation on this list on this subject and I appreciate hearing from all of you. :) Robin ________________________________ From: Joan Asche <jasche45133@gmail.com> To: boards-admins@rootsweb.com Sent: Tuesday, September 15, 2009 1:40:42 PM Subject: Re: [BAd] Request to delete "all" posts <<If the poster continues to complain you can notify he/she that the objections were reported to the staff.
